An absolute must-see. As a small village, Calstock punches way above its weight when it comes to firework displays, with reflections on the river and echoes from the far bank adding to the spectacle. A wood-fired pizza and local cider help make the evening!

Always popular with guests, the National Trust’s Cotehele House, Mill and Quay are just a short drive from Okel tor, or a delightful 45-minute walk through the village and along the wooded banks of the Tamar.

Watch the garland being assembled between 10-20 November, or see it completed in all its glory from Saturday 22 November until Monday 5 January.
Cotehele is also hosting one-day craft workshops: Papercutting Art 22 October, Oil Painting and Knife 5 November, Introduction to Wreath Making 26 November.
There are also free nature walks at Cotehele with one of the rangers. 28 September, 26 October and 30 November, 11am to 1pm. Booking essential. Call 0344 249 1895.
